Avevo letto un po' di roba in rete su queste due soluzioni, ma le ho temporaneamente archiviate in quanto ho capito che il vero problema è con l'installer (a 16 bit per W95/98). Si tratta di un InstallShield 3.0 e lo script (che ho individuato) è leggibile come testo.
Quello che mi domando (e non ho più fatto le ricerche sul web in quanto ho dovuto dedicarmi ad altro), e riporto qua la domanda perché se ho fortuna, qualcuno potrebbe avere già la soluzione, è:
<?> esiste un modo per fare girare uno script di una vecchia versione di InstallShield su un eseguibile IS più nuovo a 32 / 64 bit, ovvero di convertire un installer IS a 16 bit in uno a 32 / 64 bit aggiornando il tutto? Premetto che NON sono pratico di InstallShield.
Se ci riesco, allego di seguito la bitmap che avevo preparato con la situazione dell'installer al momento.

Hi Silver1999, actually I am stick with the 16 bit installer of the original CD, unable to run on my 64 bit W8.1 machine. We are looking for a solution to convert possibly the InstallShield 3.0 16 bit setup to a more recent 32/64 bit running installer solution, we dunno how and I'm not an expert in such installer brand. Feel free to contribute if you have any hints on how to do this. Actually I have had no time to try and resources to run it on a W98 virtual machine anyway, as it could also be a solution for running.
