Hi Silver1999 thanks for sharing with us.

BUT: The Game uses an old method to load things from the CD, which aren't supported anymore. Even in a virtual drive, it won't work.

I sincerely don't understand what you are talking of. I made an ISO copy of the CD and it is simply readable, just one data track no else.
If you are talking about the access method or drivers used from the installation program to read the cd files, I cannot run it because at the moment I cannot have a virtual with W98 so I cannot say, but while trying to run in W8.1 it seems to be pretty normal file access.
So please expand on this point for us to understand.

BUT: I found something on the net, booting Windows an old Windows in a VM, or DosBox, and installing an old Virtual Drive software Inside the VM, it'll work.

Strange idea to use DosBox, isn't the game requiring W95 at least?
Please detail which virtual drive software you are installing in the VM and on which guest os, thanks.

The Developer behind DxWND is also on the case, but has difficulties too.

Ok, where are you having a talk with him? Is it in a forum or else? Could you show us the talking, or share a link?
Is that useful for that game's running sake?

From your talks, I deduced that you have an original CD of the game in your hands, as I have.
My limits actually are, I cannot put my hands on an W98 OS cd at the moment, I have also a virtual X P but it is locked, as it needs to be activated with MS, but I won't succeeded doing it. Maybe I will create a second W X P just to let the CD install and then I will tell what are my progresses.
I should probably be able to install it on a virtual X P newly created, and grab the files to try to run them on Wx64, using the said tools.

My real final goal anyway, will be to unwind the cd installer and find someone that can help in rebuilding it for Win64.
In this case, I will also try to integrate the game original patch from the producer, and the hacks needed to let it run under Wx64; also I will look into optimizing the audio files that are sometimes doubled in the CD directories. My goal is to have a final install CD who can install and run on modern system.

So, when I got time, I will also try to look into the installer's support forums, to try to find help here. Any help is appreciated!

    Have a nice day

Let's try Alcohol 120% to emulate that old way to load things from a CD, it worked for example to read the CD Audio tracks in some games

friscmanseby, there's no need to do that. There is only a single data track on the original game CD. Please read my reply to Silver1999 just above.

[Incidentally, can you help me to unlock my virtual W X P with Ms activation? I have not succeeded in it and actually I'm locked out. A link to an help page to throw me out of lock will be enough. Sorry for asking for :( ]
